I started Encubed Solutions because I kept seeing the same thing: local businesses being sold technology they didn't need, or struggling with off-the-shelf software that didn't fit how they actually worked.
I've spent over 20 years in software — from building the sales platform that drives billions in revenue for Channel 9, to delivering digital-twin tools at Lendlease, to working across dozens of industries helping teams solve complex problems with well-designed systems.
These days, I focus that experience on helping local businesses — particularly professional services firms — get technology that genuinely makes their lives easier. Not trendy tools. Not AI for the sake of AI. Just well-thought-out solutions to real problems.
When I'm not working with clients, you'll find me co-hosting The Beer Driven Devs podcast, homebrewing beer, or running trails. I recently completed the UTA100 — a 100km ultramarathon through the Blue Mountains in under 14 hours. I mention that not to brag, but because it tells you something about how I approach hard problems: one step at a time, with stubborn persistence.
Why Encubed exists
Encubed started with a simple observation: the businesses that need the most help with technology are usually the ones getting the worst advice.
Small and mid-size firms don't have CIOs or IT departments. When something breaks, or when they know things could be better, they either try to solve it themselves with more off-the-shelf tools (which usually makes things worse) or they call a consultancy that tries to sell them the biggest possible project.
Neither approach works. The first adds complexity without solving the problem. The second sells solutions before understanding the problem.
Encubed exists to be the third option. A trusted technical partner who takes the time to understand what's really going on, then builds exactly what's needed — nothing more, nothing less.
